The Justices will hear arguments next week on whether or not the national age of consent was always 11 and a half.  Every republican senator and congressMAN argued on the floor of the house and senate that the Mandela effect is a viable defense for "criminal" behavior.  It is hoped the the supreme court will issue their rulings verbatim from senate and presidential talking points.  Essentially, if in the reality of the defendant, he believed that 11 and a half was the legal age of consent then this is not ignorance of the law.   The defendant was not ignorant of the law and is not using that as an argument.
